PowerOn is committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community through connectivity and connection to resources. Below are national resources that also support this mission.
Resources
Affordable Connectivity Program
ACP is a program by the FCC to help bridge the digital divide. Through ACP you can save up to $30 per month on broadband services, and up to $75 if you live on qualifying tribal lands.
The Trevor Project
The Trevor Project provides 24/7 suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ youth, and also connects youth with counselors to additionally discuss sexual orientation, mental health, gender identity, and community.
The Achievery
The Achievery is a program by AT&T to make distance learning more engaging and accessible for K-12 students. The platform uses popular children's media to create lessons for students that will keep them entertained and inspired as they learn.
LGBTQ+ Veterans Addiction Resources
U.S. military veterans and people who identify as LGBTQ+ are more likely to have addiction issues compared to the general public. As a result, LGBTQ+ veterans are especially at risk of developing a substance abuse problem. Fortunately, there are many resources available that can help these Americans who have done so much for our country get the medical care they need and deserve.
