poweron
individual Tech grant

Surviving, let alone thriving, in today's society requires connection. A phone, tablet, or laptop is essential for completing schoolwork, applying for jobs, staying in touch with friends and family, and accessing vital online services like healthcare. While essential, these devices are often out of reach for many. PowerOn wants to provide the LGBTQ+ community with the technology it needs to survive and thrive.

The PowerOn Individual Tech Grant provides life-saving and life-changing technology (cell phones, tablets, and laptops) to LGBTQ+ individuals for personal use.

Apply to receive:

Cell phones

"The tech will help me with school. I believe it will be easier to manage a tablet than a laptop. I hope to be able to get the
best grades and make my parents proud."

Tablets

"The laptop will help me with my education, earning my GED, getting a job, and help me better myself as a person"

Laptops

"This tech will help me with school and working from home. I will be able to use the laptop to complete my assignments and attend class and work during work hours"

This grant operates in multiple rounds each year. Applications are accepted in a one month window for each round. Awards will be announced within a month of applications closing. Granted technology will be shipped shortly after.

Individuals may be awarded one (1) device within a 12 month period. Individuals who are not awarded technology in an application round are highly encouraged to reapply in the next round. The next round of applications will open June 28th, 2024 and will close July 28th, 2024.
